Thank you to everyone who participated in the NordGen Forest Conference 2024!

The NordGen Forest Conference is an annual event that brings together Nordic researchers and practitioners focused on forest tree regeneration and regeneration material. Each year, a different Nordic country hosts the conference, and the official language is English.

In 2024, the conference will be held in northern Finland. This year's presentations will extensively cover the history, current state, and future of forest regeneration in this region. One of the key themes will be forest tree seeds and their production. Attendees will have the opportunity to visit the forest seed center and the forest tree nursery in Rovaniemi during the conference excursion. Additionally, the conference will feature a visit to the Kivalo experimental forests, highlighting the area's long and distinguished history of forest research.

The conference is free and open to a wide audience. Students, young researchers and practitioners in nurseries are especially invited to participate in a poster session and may apply for travel grants if they wish to contribute to the program (more information in the top menu/Poster session).
