8.00 – Bus leaves from Santa Claus hotel
The excursion ends to the Rovaniemi airport before returning to Rovaniemi city
center.
8:30 – Visit to Siemen Forelia Oy seed center and Fin Forelia forest tree nursery
in Imari.
Subdivision to two groups: Finnish presentation and English

10:30 – Bus leaves for lunch
11:00 – Lunch at Hotel Metsähirvas, short presentation of the Metsähirvas
history
Note: Possibility to take bus nr 14 if you need to get back to Rovaniemi
e.g. to catch a train.
12:00 – Bus leaves from lunch and drives via Narkaus to Kivalo experimental
forest (drive 1 h 30 min)
13:30 – At Kivalo experimental forest, guided by Risto Jalkanen
Siberia fireplace, coffee, tea and Finnish pulla served [outhouse
available, not WC]
14:00 – Walking the tree species trail (2 km!)
15:20 – Bus leaves to airport
16:40 – Arrival at airport to catch 17:55 flight to Helsinki.
Bus continues to the Rovaniemi center/Hotel Santa Claus for those who will
travel other routes.
